Paragon Science Academy is an A-rated, STEM-focused public charter school in Chandler, AZ and part of the Sonoran Schools network, a leader in K-12 STEM education since 2001. We are a tight-knit, mission-driven community where staff are valued, students are inspired, and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and organized Social Studies Teacher to join our middle school team for grades 6 through 8.

Your Role Will Include

• Teaching Social Studies to grades 6, 7, and 8 with two sections per grade level.
• Planning and delivering standards-aligned instruction using Arizona Academic Standards that is engaging, rigorous, and age-appropriate.
• Using formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Differentiating instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners.
• Integrating literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving into Social Studies instruction.
• Establishing and maintaining a structured, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues across grade levels and content areas to support interdisciplinary learning.
• Communicating regularly and professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Participating in team meetings, professional development, curriculum planning, and school events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Arizona Department of Education Certification (preferred).
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Creative and engaging instructional style with a genuine passion for teaching.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay: $56,000 to $64,000 per year.

Location & Shift Times

• Paragon Science Academy, Chandler.
• Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM.
