Job role : OneTrust Consent Management Consultant

Duration : 3 months to start, with the possibility to extend to 5 or 6 months

Location : Remote - working within European (EET/CET) business hours

Two mandatory requirements:

1. Hands-on OneTrust experience:

Practical experience administering OneTrust is a firm requirement, not a preference. We need someone who can work independently in the OneTrust console from their first weeks, without a ramp-up period. Specifically, we are looking for demonstrable experience with:

• Configuration of consent banners, templates, geolocation rules, translations and domain-specific settings
• Management of tracking technology inventories, categories and vendor records
• Running and reviewing web and mobile tracking technology scans, and validating results against published cookie policy pages
• User access and role administration within the platform
• Retrieving and interpreting consent records and platform reports

Candidates with general privacy or compliance backgrounds but no direct OneTrust administration experience are unfortunately not suitable for this engagement.

2. One named person, embedded in the team:

We need a single named individual who becomes part of how the team works: attending team ceremonies, owning the intake queue, speaking directly with stakeholders and accumulating context on our specific setup.

A managed service, a rotating pool of specialists, or several people sharing the work will not solve the problem we have, however capable the individuals are. Fewer hours from one consistent person is more valuable to us than full hours from a changing team. This point is not negotiable; the number of hours is.

Scope of work

The consultant would be responsible for:

• Managing incoming CMP requests through our intake process: triage, clarifying requirements, coordinating next steps and keeping stakeholders informed.
• Operating and maintaining CMP platform configuration, including tracking technology metadata, categories, vendor information, banner content, templates, translations and policy pages.
• Executing and monitoring recurring web and mobile tracking technology scans, and following up on inconsistencies with the relevant teams.
• Supporting business units and tracking technology owners in maintaining accurate tracking technology information.
• Managing user access and role assignments for CMP tooling in line with our access and approval model.
• Acting as first operational point of contact for platform issues, and coordinating with engineering and the platform vendor where escalation is needed.
• Maintaining operational documentation, guidance, onboarding material, templates and checklists.
• Supporting compliance audits and regulatory readiness by organising consent records, tracking technology inventories and other operational evidence.
• Supporting reconsent campaigns and consent-related operational changes.
• Working with our Privacy and Compliance colleagues to translate legal guidance into platform configuration, escalating unclear or high-risk cases.

Complex engineering implementation is not expected of this role; the consultant collaborates with our engineers rather than owning technical delivery.

Also valuable, but not essential:

• Familiarity with GDPR and ePrivacy requirements, IAB TCF, Google Consent Mode, mobile SDKs or web tracking technologies.
• Experience defining or running support SLAs, intake workflows, access management processes or escalation paths.
• Experience supporting a CMP platform migration or vendor evaluation.
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple markets.
