Job Description
Full-Time English-Speaking STEM Teacher
Forest Club is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable teacher to deliver engaging STEM classes in English to children aged 5–12. This is a full-time position combining after-school programmes in international schools with weekend science and outdoor learning activities.
We conduct hands-on STEM activities in Beijing and are a licensed delivery centre for CREST Awards by the British Science Association (BSA) and Pearson. Our programmes bring together science, nature, engineering and English communication, helping children develop curiosity, confidence and independent thinking.
About the Role
You will guide children through experiments, outdoor exploration, building challenges and STEM projects. Students learn by observing, asking questions, testing ideas and explaining their discoveries.
This is an active, inquiry-based teaching role. English is the language of instruction, with a focus on helping children explore scientific ideas and communicate their thinking.
Lesson plans, teaching materials and programme training are provided. No lesson development is required, but teachers are expected to prepare thoroughly and become confident with each activity.
Location and Schedule
- Position: Full-time
- Locations: International schools and programme venues in Beijing, including Shuangjing/CBD and Olympic Park
- Schedule: Weekday after-school classes and weekend programmes, with preparation, training and coordination as part of the role. The regular working schedule and days off will be agreed before joining.

- Guide students through observation, questioning, experiments and practical problem-solving.
- Use clear, age-appropriate English and adapt your teaching to different abilities and language levels.
- Encourage children to describe observations, explain ideas and present their findings.
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment through effective behaviour management and supervision.
- Work closely with Chinese teaching assistants and programme coordinators.
- Help prepare and organise materials and provide brief feedback on lessons and student progress.
